Combining different tile types can create stunning visual effects. Knowing which designs, sizes and materials to use can make a room seem larger or smaller, quieter or more vibrant. I've seen all types of installations and can guide you to choose a combination that suits your home.
One common misconception is that smaller rooms need smaller tiles. In fact, small rooms usually look bigger if larger tiles are used - the smaller number of lines between the tiles makes the room look bigger.
Another way of tricking the eye is to use a staggered pattern when laying floors that are longer than they are wide - it helps make the room look wider and more pleasing to the eye.
